In my view, at least soft drugs such as cannabis should quickly be decriminalised - though I think that, perhaps, the heavy-duty versions such as skunk ought to remain illegal - given the current research into it possibly being an instigator of various psychoses.
This does not mean that there should not be a 'war on drugs' - but, in my view, it should be a war waged by education, information and caring - not punishment, prosecution and prison.
